I first created this free plant hanger crochet pattern while working on a collaboration with Darn Good Yarn! It was really fun to try new-to-me fibers: recycled yarn! Since then, I have also made this crochet plant hanger in cotton yarn, and also in nylon yarn!
I would classify this free plant hanger crochet pattern as “advanced beginner”. It would be helpful to have had some experience with crochet before creating this project.

Notes
- Note that your yarn choice, hook size, and tension will affect the sizing of this project. Please check your gauge prior to starting this pattern. If you do not compare your gauge to that of the design, it is possible that your sizing will be affected.
- Note that your choice of fiber will impact the fit of the pot holder and length of the hangers. For best results, I recommend using a yarn with minimal stretch.
- This pattern is worked in the round, with the end of each round being joined to the beginning by a slip stitch (unless otherwise specified).

Tips & Tricks

- Use a yarn that doesn’t have too much stretch, such as cotton yarn, to ensure that the crochet hanging plant holder will keep its shape with use.
