SKILL LEVEL:

Intermediate – you should have some knowledge of how to make a magic ring, split single crochet, increase, decrease, slip stitch and invisible join. All these techniques will be thoroughly demonstrate in the accompanying video tutorial. This pattern is written in US terms and contains detailed photos and links to explained videos.

YARN AND HOOK:

・Bobbiny braided Cotton Cord 5mm:
In Beige: ~ 260g for the basket (about 1/2 of the skein)
In Caramel: ~ 220g for the the lid (about 1/2 of the skein)
You will need about 3 metres of Beige colour for the details on the lid.
・8 mm hook
・5 mm hook
・a tapestry needle
・scissors
・glue

FINISHED SIZE:

Overall the size will depend on selected yarn, hook and individual tension. I used Braided Cotton Cord 5mm.
Basket: ~ 13cm high(5.1″). ~ 16cm wide(6.3″)
Lid: ~ 9cm high(3.54″). ~ 18cm wide(7.08″)
Total size: ~ 21cm high(8.2″)

The sample in the photos was made using Drops Nepal yarn and a 3mm crochet hook.
Using a 3mm hook and worsted weight yarn my sample measured 13cm tall including lid, 11.5cm width, 10cm depth. Depth of the basket is 7cm.

Depending on the yarn and hook combination your results may vary.
